24/7 (BDSM): The term 24/7 in the BDSM community refers to a relationship in which the partners involved assume their roles continuously. The term specifically refers to "twenty four hours a day, seven days a week". The term is most popular with the Master/slave and D/s communities.24/7 is one of the most difficult relationships to maintain, and requires special skills and experience. Most people enter into a 24/7 relationship only after being partners for considerable time, often many years. At the very least they should have thorough knowledge of their partner and his/her personality. It is not uncommon for D/s couples in a 24/7 relationship to be married, or otherwise legally committed to one another. In reality, few D/s relationships go continuously at full protocol without stop. Often subs are given "days off" or a similar period of time, perhaps a few hours, in which they can act as their partner's equal.
